Country in another country!

Gotta LOVE Toby Keith!

He's a BIG supporter of the USO. Thankfully he was brave enough to throw caution to the wind and visit us here in Bahrain despite his handlers concern about the travel advisories for this region.

Early in the day Toby Keith signed head-shots and met with his fans in the Freedom Souq on base. We joined the hundreds of people waiting to meet him and were excited to have our family picture taken with country music's "Bad Boy". He commented that he liked Tanner's OU shirt - BOOMER!

Gavin had so much fun he passed out in Paige's stroller ;)

NSA enjoyed a free concert that night in the courtyard under the warm Bahrain night sky. It was a nice "piece of home" and he really played to the audience.

There's something to be said for being in the middle of a crowd, all of whom were singing "American Soldier" as if it was their unofficial anthem... nearly brought tears to my eyes. I was only a few yards from the stage and I have to admit it was one of the best concerts I have ever attended.

THANK YOU TOBY KEITH for making the effort to get here and for putting on one hell of a concert for our troops!

A BIG thank you to the USO as well for orchestrating such a super day!
