One of my favorite places in Tulsa, OK is the beautiful stretch of land that runs alongside the Arkansas River. The city in all it's wisdom has preserved and put a lot of time, money, energy and pride into developing a superior park that stretches for miles and miles. River Parks features well manicured gardens, many playgrounds all outfitted with state of the art play equipment and two trails that run far beyond the length of the park (one for pedestrians and one for bikes/skateboards). While visiting Tulsa the boys enjoyed several trips to River Parks... this was our first trip.
Playing with Grandpa, Nini, Aunt Megan, cousins Ella & Eva and Tessa The Dog.
Sweet Gavin liked to go "under the bridge"
Ella working the shades and cheerleading uniform! :)
Tanner on his FAVORITE piece of equipment at the park. Round and round and round he goes!
Ella checking out the water feature.
Precious cousins: Gavin and Ella exploring one of the water features.
Megan and little Eva
Weeeee.... Mommy and Gavin enjoying the slide!
Playing is HARD WORK!
Gavin and his proud Grandpa.
My sweet and curious baby, I must admit the part I enjoyed the most was the way he seemed to study his new surroundings. All the sensations he was experiencing for the first time (in his memory anyway) must have been overwhelming: A need for long sleeves, chilly breezes, fall leaves, cold water in the fountains, grass, and that white light the sun casts on a crisp Oklahoma Fall morning. All of it so unique to Gavin and beautiful for his Mommy to see him observe.
Great action shot: Ella and Tanner racing down the slide!
Nini, Tessa The Dog and Gavin playing on the green turf "hills".
A beautiful game day morning spent outdoors with family - PRICELESS!
