Jet Lag Sucks!

It's now a week and a half post-trip and our family is almost back to "normal" or as normal as we get around here at Casa Flusche. For one week straight Gavin woke up as if his poor little body was set to a pesky alarm clock. AND that pesky alarm clock's preferred time of going off was 12:30AM. Gavin would then play hard until 4:30AM where he would pass out mid-stride (as if running into a wall). Of course this means Mommy had the "pleasure" of playing hard from 12:30AM-4:30AM as well. LUCKY me! Then he refused to nap the rest of the day, AAAAAHHHH! We looked like the walking dead around here until just a few days ago. I can only describe this brand of jet-lag as the worst hang over you have ever had AND then add the idea of a very loud and untalented garage band moving into your living room. Yeah, that pretty much sums it up in a nutshell! Fun, fun, fun!

We arrived at DFW in Dallas, TX on Wednesday, October 27th at 11:00AM and arrived in Bahrain at 8:00PM Thursday, the 28th... Yes, you read that correctly 25 hours of travel time. Keep in mind, we did this with an almost 6 year old and our 21 month old "baby".

I must admit as stressful as the trip back home to Bahrain was it was a thousand times better than the trip to Tulsa... but that story is a whole other blog in itself. I don't want to short change you - just ask those who have heard the story, they would agree it deserves it's own page! (LAUGH!)

Seeing family made this whole wild experience worth it! We GREATLY thank our parents, family (including two new baby nieces) and friends for making special time for us. Many loved ones traveled a great distance to share our trip (thank you Nana, Winslows and Sarah). We truly are SO BLESSED!

More to come about the trip, check back soon!
